Convenience Store Manager
Pay: $12.00 – $16.00 per hour
Job Summary
The Convenience Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, maintaining inventory levels, and driving sales performance. Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day store operations
- Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Open and close the store as required
- Monitor and maintain store security procedures
Staff Management
- Recruit, hire, and train store employees
- Create staff schedules and manage payroll
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate employee performance
- Foster a positive and productive work environment
Customer Service
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming store atmosphere
Inventory & Merchandising
- Monitor stock levels and place orders with suppliers
- Conduct regular inventory counts
- Minimize shrinkage and loss
- Ensure proper product displays and merchandising standards
Financial Management
- Manage cash handling procedures and deposits
- Monitor sales performance and prepare reports
- Control expenses and maximize profitability
- Meet or exceed sales targets
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 2–5 years of retail or convenience store experience
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Basic accounting and computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Serve Safe certification preferred

Job description:
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the entire team.
- Delivers outstanding Guest service by maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor and connecting with each and every Guest. Every position is expected to do their part to provide amazing Guest service, whether you are a Cashier or a management employee.
- Consistently uses suggestive selling techniques in order to boost store sales and increase Guest satisfaction.
- Follows all state and federal regulations for gas, alcohol, and tobacco sales.
- Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture and values of our Company.
- Follows Company operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
